Paper Hearts

I bought a disposable camera on black friday because I forgot my digital one at the dorm. I didn’t remember that right after thanksgiving dinner we were going to head to the Cunio’s cabin in Cranmore, New Hampshire. Its a three hour drive from Norwell, Massachusettes and we waited a while before leaving so when we got here it was pretty late and we all went to bed. Mrs. Cunio woke the girls up at 5am the next morning and as soon as we stepped out of the door we slipped down the front porch steps and into the snow. It was beautiful, the trees (because of course this cabin is like in the woods) were covered in this soft white veil and the flakes collected on my coat. I couldn’t feel the true frost upon my skin, perhaps because I was in awe. I’ve ony seen “real” snow (those two snow days in Houston don’t count because the snow didn’t stick) twice in my life and I was too young to remember it. I just wasn’t expecting snow until December so I was so caught off guard. Cranmore definitely adds to the beauty - or the snow adds to the beauty of Cranmore. The town is full of lakes and hills and mountains, small shops and ski slopes and children in puff coats. Its all surreal, like what they film in the movies and Brad… He’s one of a kind. Sometimes I feel like he gets his thoughts and lines from a movie that stars Jennifer Aniston and we both laugh when he’s done talking no matter how serious the conversation. Friday night after a full day of shopping and sight seeing, he forced me to walk down to the lake (note: I didn’t know how majestic it was going to be) and I put up the hugest fight. It was so dark outside and we had to cut through the woods (uhm, hello serial killers!) And it was freezing, but it was AMAZING. It was starry and serene and well.. I don’t know, it was just wonderful. I’m not an outdoorsy person, but I could do more of this.

I can’t wait to print the pictures. I have no idea how they’re going to come out and that excites me.
